Pro-Life Wisconsin will host a free Sidewalk Counselor Training Workshop from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Lux Mundi Studio, 1405 16th St., Racine.

Learn what sidewalk counseling is and how to talk to abortion-vulnerable men and women from a panel of speakers including: the moderator, Steve Karlen, director of development at Pro-Life Wisconsin, who spearheaded the successful statewide efford to end late-term abortion plans on the UW-Madison campus in 2009-2010; Dan Miller, director of 40 Days for Life-Milwaukee and a full-time volunteer counselor; Laura Karlen, past president of Vigil for Life of Madison where she has helped lead Madison’s 40 Days for Life campaign since 2008; and Lisa Sommers, director and founder of Rachel’s Vineyard-Stevens Point, an apostolate dedicated to helping post-abortive men and women find peace and healing.

For more information, or to ask question, call Karlen at (262) 796-1111, ext. 14, or visit the page on Pro-Life Wisconsin’s website dedicated to sidewalk counselor training.
