When 11-year-old Aria Weber served her first Mass as an altar server at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, North Lake, she wasn’t alone. Serving beside her was her 88-year-old great-grandfather, Don Orth, who has faithfully assisted at the altar for many years.
For the Weber family, the occasion marked more than a milestone for a new altar server — it reflected a tradition of faith handed down through generations. As the pair assisted during Mass, parishioners witnessed a meaningful example of family, service and devotion.
