Let me be honest here: as a young woman, I’m nevertheless not a big fan of heels. I’m already taller than most girls (5’11”), and being as shy as I typically am, the last thing I want to do is add even more attention to my size by wearing a pair of three inch heels. Even so, I know that I’m going to have to wear heels for my wedding.

Well, after conducting a lot of research on wedding Web sites, designer clothing stores, and of course the bridal boutiques, I have come to the realization that I am a minority in the wedding shoe department. Looking for a small to non-existent heel is becoming somewhat of a feat.

Here are some of my choices so far: hopefully you can give me some guidance by what you think would look good. For me, I’m definitely going for the comfort factor.

Grazia Vanessa Bridal Shoes

Martinez Valero Curran Bridal Shoes

Kate Spade Mattie Bridal Shoes

The only objection to these shoes – as I’m sure you will figure out – is that all of these shoes are very expensive. I’m planning on narrowing down my choices, and then hitting the department store sales. Does this make me cheap? I don’t think so, I’m just careful with my money!

P.S. Don’t forget the extra prayers, as Matt’s parents are traveling across the country as we speak to visit us for the week. Hopefully they will like me as much as Matt does!
