SPECIAL TO THE CATHOLIC HERALD

Established in 1946 after its founder, Irving Pentler, arrived back home from serving overseas in WWII, Uptown Motors Dealership has always been a Catholic-owned company with deep ties to its community and faith.

With two locations, in Milwaukee, and Slinger, Uptown Motors ranks as one of the leading dealerships in the state of Wisconsin and in the top 100 in the country for sales and service.

Jeff Sardina, manager of the Milwaukee location, has worked for the company for 24 years and says what has kept him is the Pentler family’s commitment to showing the love of Christ to their customers through honesty and exceptional service. According to Sardina, every time a new or pre owned car is sold, $200 is donated to the school or parish of the buyer’s choice, and $100 is donated to the local food pantry.

“The Pentler family has never wavered in promoting Catholic values to anyone who walks through our doors,” Sardina said. “We’re Catholic owned, and Catholic proud, and keep Christ Jesus right where he belongs in our hearts and our work.”

Uptown sponsors Mass every year at Festa Italiana, and prides itself on its community work with Catholic schools in the diocese, and Wauwatosa Catholic schools in particular.

“The employees and owners of Uptown attend parishes and schools all over the Archdiocese of Milwaukee,” Sardina said. “It’s so important to take care of one another, and we make that a priority here at Uptown.”
