The championship matches of the Elizabeth Seton Volleyball Championships were played Sunday, Nov. 10, at Catholic Memorial High School. The three schools who won championships in Division 1 girls, Division 2 girls and the boys division were first-time winners for their schools. The tournament fielded 68 teams in the three divisions. Proceeds from the tournament, which began in 2006, go to the Waukesha County Catholic Schools tuition assistance fund, the foundation for religious retirement and Waukesha Catholic athletics. Division 1 Girls: St. Robert, Shorewood, defeated St. Sebastian, Milwaukee, in the Division 1 girls championship by a score of 11-25, 25-20, 11-25, 25-23, 15-8.
Division 2 Girls: In the Division 2 girls championship, Lumen Christi, Mequon, was a 24-26, 25-9, 25-12, 25-18 victor over St. John XXIII, Port Washington.
Boys Division: St. Jude, Wauwatosa, won the boys division, defeating St. Mary’s Visitation, Elm Grove, by a count of 25-9, 25-20, 23-25, 25-13.
