Kathryn E. Durkin entered eternal life on April 22, 2010, at age 93. Resident of the Milwaukee Catholic Home, longtime resident of Milwaukee’s East Side. Beloved wife of the late John J. Durkin. Dear sister of the late Patricia Minahan, John (Jeanne) Minahan and Bill Minahan. Caring aunt of Molly Miller, Jeanne Robinson, John Minahan and Sue (Dr. Terry) Frantal. Other loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews further survive her. Kathryn never said an unkind word about anybody. She lived her life with an upbeat and carefree spirit. She loved her manhattans and venturing out to new places. More than anything, Kathryn will be remembered as a lady who maintained the charm of the past while keeping up with the present. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in St. Anne’s Chapel at the Milwaukee Catholic Home, 2462 N. Prospect Ave. Milwaukee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private in Chilton, Wis. In gratitude for the wonderful care given to Kathryn, memorials may be made to the Milwaukee Catholic Home.
