The archbishop’s appointments include additional young adults, liturgists, Catholic school personnel and representatives from various ethnic cultures.

In addition, there will be 28 high school students who will serve as youth representatives. They will participate in the discussions, but who will not vote, as canon law requires synod delegates to be 21 years old in order to vote.

Also, there will be 10 ecumenical and interfaith observers, four seminarian observers – in addition to the two seminarian delegates, and two representatives from religious institutions who will be observers.

Observers will not participate in the discussions and will not vote, but their observations will be sought after the synod.
