MILWAUKEE — The 2010 Pallium Lecture, “Laughing with the Saints: Joy, Humor & Laughter in the Spiritual Life,” will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 at the Mount Mary College Alumnae Dining Room in Bergstrom Hall, 2900 N. Menomonee River Parkway, Milwaukee (enter visitor’s parking lot off 92nd Street – Swan Boulevard).

The archdiocesan-sponsored event features Jesuit Fr. James Martin, culture editor of America, a national Catholic weekly, and author of several books including, “My Life with the Saints,” “Becoming Who You Are” and “The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything.”

Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki will open the event with a prayer, and a reception and book signing will follow Fr. Martin’s presentation. The presentation, chosen by Archbishop Listecki, focuses on catechetical formation and spiritual renewal, and is free and open to all; no pre-registration is necessary.
