MILWAUKEE — The Catholic Community Foundation, which helps fund organizations and causes that support the mission of the Catholic Church in Southeastern Wisconsin recently awarded $174,660 in grants from its donor funds.

Peter W. Bruce, chairman of the board said in a CCF press release that the CCF, which began July 1, 2001, “is again humbled and pleased to present these grant awards to so many worthwhile causes and help our donors continue their legacy of giving to organizations in need.”

The following organizations received grants in the dollar amounts listed:

$22,370 – The Archdiocese of Milwaukee;

$12,500 – The Guest House Inc.;

$10,000 – Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Daystar Inc., Office for World Mission, St. Ben’s Community Meal, St. Vincent de Paul Society of Milwaukee, School Sisters of Notre Dame;

$9,000 – The Gathering of Southeast Wisconsin;

$7,500 –Milwaukee Achiever Literacy Services Inc., St. Catherine Residence;

$5,370 – Port Catholic School;

$5,000 – Agape, Benedict Center, Cardinal Stritch University, Literacy Services of Wisconsin Inc., New Threads of Hope;

$3,500 – Saint Francis de Sales Seminary;

$2,830 – Gesu Parish;

$2,500 – Dismas Ministry, Dominican Center for Women Inc.,

$2,300 – Catholic Memorial High School, Marquette University;

$2,140 – Pius XI High School;

$2,000 – Melanoma Research Foundation, Hillsborough, New Jersey, Rosemary School;

$1,000 – Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, Office for the Propagation of the Faith;

$350 – Family Sharing of Ozaukee County Inc.
