Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki and Bishop Richard J. Sklba will concelebrate the Mass – which will be in English, Spanish and American Sign Language – where the archbishop will bless the sacramental oils used and consecrate the Oil of Chrism to be used by parishes throughout the archdiocese during baptisms, confirmations, priestly and episcopal ordinations, the dedication of churches and to anoint the sick.

Chrism (the oil) is the Greek word for “an anointing,” and is also referred to as “myrrh,” representing one of the gifts – gold, frankincense and myrrh – that the Three Kings brought to the baby Jesus.
