The following priests of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee will retire from active ministry June 30, unless otherwise noted.

Fr. Alan F. Jurkus was born in South Milwaukee, and attended Saint Francis Minor Seminary, St. Francis, 1958-1962, De Sales Preparatory Seminary, St. Francis, 1962-1964, and Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, St. Francis, 1964-1970.
Ordained May 23, 1970, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Milwaukee, he served as associate pastor at St. John the Baptist Parish, Plymouth, 1970-1975; associate pastor at St. Alexander Parish, Milwaukee, 1975-1976; director of the Archdiocesan Vocations Office, 1976-1982; at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, St. Francis, as administrator and team member, 1982-1985 and 1988-1989, as team member, 1985-1988, and as pastor, 1989-1994; pastor at St. Monica Parish, Whitefish Bay, 1994-2007; and pastor at St. Alphonsus Parish, Greendale, 2007-2014.

■ Fr. John R. Kern was born in Milwaukee and attended Saint Francis Minor Seminary, St. Francis, 1956-1961, and Saint Francis de Sales Major Seminary, St. Francis, 1961-1968.
Ordained May 18, 1968, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Milwaukee, he served as associate pastor at St. Eugene Parish, Fox Point, 1968-1972; faculty member at Saint Francis de Sales College, Milwaukee, 1972-1981; administrator and team member, while continuing to teach at the college, at St. Agnes Parish, Milwaukee, 1978-1984; administrator and team member at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Milwaukee, 1984-1989; pastor at SS. Peter and Paul Parish, Milwaukee, 1989-1998, also serving as Dean of District 13, 1995-1998; at St. Richard Parish, Racine, as moderator and team member, 1998-2001, and as pastor, 2001-2004, while also serving as Dean of District 2, 2001-2004; pastor at St. Catherine Parish, Milwaukee, 2004-2014.

■ Fr. Vincent F. Kobida was born in Milwaukee, and attended St. Albert the Great Grade School, Milwaukee, 1960, Saint Lawrence Seminary High School, Mt. Calvary, 1964, the Capuchin Seminary of St. Mary, Crown Point, Indiana, 1969, and for post-graduate education, the Capuchin Seminary of St. Anthony, Marathon, 1970, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 1975, and Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, St. Francis.

Ordained June 16, 1980, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Milwaukee, he served as associate pastor at St. Philip Neri Parish, Milwaukee, 1980-1982; team member at St. Leo Parish, Milwaukee, 1982-1986; temporary administrator at Cristo Rey Parish, Racine, 1986-1987; was on a study leave in the Dominican Republic, February-March, 1987; released to serve as team member at Holy Family Parish, Azua, Dominican Republic, 1987-1993; released to serve the Diocese of San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic, 1993-1999; associate pastor (Pro Tem) at St. Mark Parish, Kenosha, 1999-2000; pastor at Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Vincent de Paul parishes, Milwaukee, 2000-2006; pastor at St. Margaret Mary Parish, Milwaukee, 2006-2012; pastor at St. Mark Parish, Kenosha, 2012-2013; associate pastor at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Beaver Dam, 2013-2014.

■ Msgr. Thomas P. Olszyk was born in Milwaukee and attended Marquette University, Milwaukee, 1963-1965, and Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, St. Francis, 1965-1971.

Ordained May 21, 1971, at St. Alexander Church, Milwaukee, he served as associate pastor at St. Helen Parish, Milwaukee, 1971-1972; associate pastor at St. John Kanty Parish, Milwaukee, 1972-1978; United States Air Force Chaplain, 1978-2001; did graduate studies at the North American College, Rome, 2001-2004; adjutant judicial vicar of the Metropolitan Tribunal, 2004-2006; and was released to serve as judicial vicar for the Military Archdiocese, 2006-2014.

■ Fr. Richard J. Robinson was born in Milwaukee, and attended De Sales Preparatory Seminary, St. Francis, 1959-1965, and Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, St. Francis, 1965-1971.

Ordained May 23, 1971, at St. Mary Church, Elm Grove, he served as associate pastor at St. Mary Parish, Sheboygan Falls, 1971-1972; associate pastor at St. Matthias Parish, Milwaukee, 1972-1978; associate pastor at Immaculate Conception Parish, West Bend, 1978-1981; was on a study leave at Notre Dame Institute for Clergy Education, 1981-1983; pastor at St. Joseph, Waukesha, 1983-1990; pastor at St. Michael Parish, Dotyville, and Our Lady of Angels Parish, Armstrong, 1991-1997, also serving as Dean of District 8, 1995-1997; pastor at Mother of Perpetual Help and St. Stephen Martyr parishes, Milwaukee, 1997-2001; pastor at St. Joseph Parish, Big Bend, 2001-2014.
