MarkForBlogAt last, it feels like summer has arrived…somewhat. I just kind of wish it would not have gone from March to June all in one weekend, but that is what we have here in this state. However, before the mosquitoes get to pesky, come down to Saint Francis de Sales, take a walk through seminary woods, or, even better, stop in at the library, check out a book and THEN take a stroll through seminary woods. This way one can make sure to stop, sit and read for a short while in the woods. It is one of my favorite pastimes, sitting and quietly enjoying God’s splendor and beauty all around me.

A heartfelt congratulation to Bishop-designate Fr. Hying, or I guess as I know him as Fr. Don, for his being appointed to the auxiliary bishop position here in the archdiocese. In the time that I have been working at the seminary, I have come to greatly admire and respect Fr. Don for all that he does for the seminary, indeed for the community in general in the area. Anytime you see him, he is quick to say hello and a quick word of greeting, no matter how busy he must be. He even has books and a study room at the library, as does the man that he replaces, Bishop Richard J. Sklba.  Come down and visit, maybe you will bump into one of them busy working on their many projects.

As always, if you have any ideas and comments for things I could change, please let me know.  These are always appreciated, anything I can do to make this better I will strive my best to accomplish.
