Fr. Luke Strand and a group of men interested in the priesthood pose near Lake Michigan at the beginning of their pilgrimage from Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, St. Francis, to Holy Hill, Hubertus, July 18-20. This is the second summer the seminary has participated in such a walk.

On the way to Immaculate Conception Parish, Milwaukee, they visit the home of Steven Kowal, a classmate who lives with the men at the John Paul II house. His mother, Mary Kowal, welcomes the travelers with water and popsicles.

Carrying only an extra set of clothes and bottles of water, the men visited 20 churches along the way. (Catholic Herald myFaith photos by Ricardo Torres)
