UW-Whitewater student/dance teacher

What’s on your iPod?
Everything from kids’ songs to classical to rock.

If you could dine with anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
Either one of my grandpas. Both grandpas passed away either before I was born or when I was a couple months old so I was never given the privilege to get to know them.

Who has made the biggest impact upon you?
My mother and father.

What does your normal weekend look like?
Saturday I try to clean, do laundry and work on some homework if I don’t have anything else going on. Sunday I go to church and have dance rehearsal.

Age: 21

Parish: Basilica of St. Josaphat, Milwaukee

Favorite Bible story/Scripture passage/prayer
Prayer of St. Francis

Favorite quote
“Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others, cannot keep it from themselves.”

What was your confirmation name?
Maria. I chose this particular saint’s name because she (St. Maria Goretti) is the patron saint of chastity, rape victims and youth. Her story was very admirable and my hope was that I could have a faith as strong as hers.

What do you enjoy most about Mass?
No matter what I’m going through, I can feel at peace for at least one hour per week and I know that everyone surrounding me shares the same beliefs.

A challenge in life that has strengthened your faith?
Learning from poor life choices and realizing that even in times that you may have given up on God, he never gives up on you.

Favorite pastime/hobby/activity
Dancing

What is the most important thing you want to accomplish in life?
I want to make a difference in others’ lives, whether it be through compassion or through my teaching.

How do you live your faith every day?
I do my best to treat others how I want to be treated and turn to God when I can’t do it alone.
