MarkForBlogI have three things to mention today. First off, Salzmann Library’s push to modern media continues. First it was wireless available. Next, this blog. Now, Salzmann Library has a Facebook fan page. If you are on Facebook, find us through Salzmann Library, and click on the “Like” button. You will then be given notices when there are library updates posted, such as events, pictures, contest, etc. There will be a lot of useful information, so “Like” us on Facebook.

The second item is about our used books we have for sale, and donations to the library. If you are somebody who is looking to clean off some of your bookshelves, or who knows somebody who is moving and needs a place for their books, especially religious books, bring them in to the library. When we get donations, I go through them and check to see if they are already part of the collection. If they aren’t, we often add the books and thank you for your generosity.

If they are part of the collection, we will then put them in the hallway in the entranceway, where they are on sale to anybody who comes in. The prices are difficult to beat, $0.50 for paperbacks and $1 for hardcovers. So if you are interested in growing your own personal library, come in and I’m sure you will find plenty of books to add to your collection.

The third item is on a more personal note to me. Over the weekend I asked my girlfriend Rachel, the most wonderful person I have ever met, to marry me – and she said yes!  So it is a very happy time in that regard, and I wanted to share this news with all of you.

As always, if you have any ideas and comments for things I could change, please let me know. These are always appreciated, anything I can do to make this better I will strive my best to accomplish.

Here is some of the basic information about the library:
