MILWAUKEE — Divine Savior Holy Angels High School’s Community Theatre Works (CTW) program will present “Hairspray,” July 15 to 17 at the school’s Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theatre, 4257 N. 100th St.
Travel back to the 1960s in this musical which offers a glimpse into a time of great political, cultural and social change in the country’s history. “Hairspray” tells the story of a young woman with undying optimism who sets out to make all of her high school dreams come true. In the process, she meets unforgettable characters and charts an unexpected course of bridging the gap of adversity between race, gender, age and social class.
