MILWAUKEE — As the Year of St. Paul neared its conclusion, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee focused its lone Pallium Lecture Series presentation of 2009 on the Apostle to the Gentiles as Norbertine Fr. Alfred McBride spoke June 2 on “What does St. Paul, the church’s first theologian, mean by ‘the church’?”
“Any study of St. Paul shows what he means about the church always begins with Jesus. He never separated Jesus from the church,” the priest told an audience of nearly 300 at Alverno College.
